Lovely Reilly is looking for a new home that is not located in a busy town. Reilly barks a lot so no flats and his new home must have a garden; it would be ideal for his new home to be a detached house. Reilly is fairly anxious but has lots of love to give.
Reilly can be left for a few hours but is used to having company most of the time and would love for this to be continued in his new home. Reilly loves routine and structure so would be happy to fit in with your daily habits. Reilly suffers from dermatitis for which treatment could be covered through our Food and Vet Fund.*
Reilly will bark at people who come to the door, but will settle and only want attention – he will give you his paw for more pets. Reilly is good with other dogs, he usually wants to play and loves being chased. If another dog growls or barks at him, Reilly will walk away and then bark from a safe distance. He will also bark if he sees someone coming into the garden that he doesn’t know. But he responds well to commands – he will go into the house from the garden if told. Reilly does not like it when the bin is taken out and he does not like tin foil or window cleaners.
Reilly loves going for long walks and is good at travelling in the car. He wears a harness on walks but does not really pull on the lead. Reilly’s recall is good, although this would need to be carefully re-introduced in his new home. Reilly has been to the groomers before and behaved well, but he usually does not like to be brushed.
Reilly loves to play with his toys with people. He loves being chased and running around with other dogs. He is very well socialised with other dogs; Reilly is used to staying at a boarding house with several other dogs.
Reilly is a gorgeous, playful boy who would love a home that understands his anxious quirks and his barking. Are you able to play with Reilly during the day and cuddle up at night? Please apply for Reilly if you can!
*FOOD AND VETERINARY TREATMENT FUND: This fund allows Dog Aid Scotland to cover costs of pre-existing conditions once a dog has been rehomed. This means we will cover costs for vet treatment if the dog has a condition before it comes to stay with you. In this case we will covers costs relating to Reilly’s dermatitis, within reason.
